No cost, no risk route to improved business performance

More than twenty manufacturing companies in Yorkshire and Humber have already improved their business performance as a result of free technical support from materials joining specialist TWI.

As part of Joining Forces Yorkshire and Humber, one of the region's major technology transfer initiatives, manufacturing companies are entitled to two free days intensive technical support.

If a company is not making the best use of welding and joining technology, it may be wasting money and producing less that it should. And it's possible that product quality is suffering too and the business is not performing as well as it could.

Inevitably companies wonder if current practice in the company is as good as it could be, and furthermore, how can they find out, and have confidence in the feedback received.

Joining Forces Yorkshire and Humber offers assistance in the form of a Product & Process Review. This help may be to solve a specific issue, or involve a more systematic evaluation of manufacturing practices looking to identify opportunities for reducing costs, improving productivity, quality or health & safety.

If more extensive work is needed, the programme also includes further development studies.
